I. What is PVC Plastic Flooring?
Plastic flooring is another name for PVC flooring, also called PVC sports plastic flooring. The main component is polyvinyl chloride (PVC) material. PVC flooring can be made in two ways: one is homogeneous, meaning the pattern material is the same from top to bottom. The other is composite, with a top layer of pure transparent PVC, an underlayer of printed material, and a foam layer.
II. Types of PVC Plastic Flooring

Polyvinyl chloride sheet flooring uses polyvinyl chloride resin and its copolymers as the main raw materials, along with fillers, plasticizers, stabilizers, colorants, etc. It is produced on a continuous sheet substrate through a coating process, and through calendering, extrusion, or extrusion processes. It is divided into two types: foamed polyvinyl chloride sheet flooring with a substrate and dense polyvinyl chloride sheet flooring with a substrate. The width is 1830mm, 2000mm, etc., the length of each roll is 15m, 20m, etc., and the total thickness is 1.6mm~3.2mm. The required area for sheet flooring can be calculated by multiplying the laying area by 1.10. If the width of the sheet flooring is exactly the net width of the room, 2% loss can be considered. Sheet flooring can be retailed, buying as much as needed. For piecing together, careful calculation is needed to avoid waste. PVC elastic plastic flooring is the newest high-tech flooring material in the world's building materials industry. It is now widely used in foreign decoration projects.
III. Uses of PVC Plastic Flooring
Since its introduction to the domestic market in the 1980s and subsequent promotion, it has been widely used in commercial (office buildings, shopping malls, airports), educational (schools, libraries, gymnasiums), medical (pharmaceutical factories, hospitals), and industrial sectors, achieving satisfactory results and increasing usage.
PVC plastic flooring can be made to imitate marble, wood, and carpet, with effects that are almost indistinguishable from the real thing. The rich colors provide designers with ample room for imagination. Sufficient wear resistance ensures a long lifespan, high strength prevents damage under certain loads, good water resistance and corrosion resistance allow its use in numerous locations, and the soft and elastic feel underfoot is comfortable. More importantly, PVC plastic flooring is extremely environmentally friendly, greatly reducing air pollution from home decoration. Because of these advantages, its products are increasingly entering homes, especially becoming a preferred choice for children's rooms.
